Female Chauvinist Pigs
I would recomend Female Chauvinist Pigs, because the book covers diversly the issue of making sex more open. People (especially women) should be informed of all of these topics discussed throughtout this book, such as porn, the youth getting older younger, rainbow parties, lesbians, and prostitution. With the knowledge of what is happeneing to our culture, maybe more people would wake up and realize. This would prevent future generations from following in the same footsteps. With so many of these things happening around us many people have grown accepting of it. If we had more feminists fighting against it, maybe female chauvinist pigs would decrease.

In this last paper I plan to discuss the project Brittany and I plan to do on anorexia. We hope to change the minds of young women suffering from anorexia by adressing health issues and using pictures. Some anorexics don't see how skinny they really are; they look in the mirror and they are disgustingly fat. It is a very hard issue to understand for people whom have not faced it. We hope to give some information for the people who know people that are going through it, therefor instead of being confused and helpless on the issue maybe they can help. Overall we hope to give young women a better understanding of the issue and health risks. Therefore they can prevent it from happening to them or others close to them.

1.What is Feminism?
2. Do you consider yourself feminist? Why or Why not?
3. What are women's issues and interests that feminists would be considered with?
4. What stereotypes do others Categorize feminists?
5. Is there a need for feminism today? Why or Why not?
. Feminism- the movement for women's rights to be equal
2. Well besides peeing standing up I think I can pretty much do anything a man can so maybe
3. Equal employment, womans right to choose, fighting to prevent woman hitting the glass ceiling.
4.Uptight woman that is a man-hater
5. There is always a need for people to fight for others rights.
1. Feminism is the growing trend among women to take charge and erase the stereo typical view that women are not equal in the labor force
2. I do consider my self a mild feminist, and challenge any man in the business world to accomplish what I am capable of.
3. Breaking Through the glass ceiling, Benefits in the workplace, Equal pay, Equal advancement opportunities..
4. Politically incorrect/inept, Radicals, extremists (all stereo typed views on feminism)
5. Feminism continues, but is less "radical" and more expected. I believe that feminisim will continue until the glass cielings are broken, and women rise more rapidly in the workforce achieving ultimately equal pay/benefits...
1. Feminism is the doctrine advocating social, political, and all other rights equal to those of men.
2. I would consider myself a feminist because I believe that no one should be discriminated against because of their gender.
3. Some issues that feminists would be things like women getting the same equal job opportunities as men.
4. Some people think that feminists hate men, which is a stereotype, but really that's not true in most cases. They just believe that women should have equal rights.
5. I do believe that there is a need for feminists to a certain degree because there are still people (man and women both) who believe that women just don't deserve equal rights when it comes to some things. Some people believe that it is a womans duty to be a stay at home mom, take care or the children, clean the house, and cook dinner, instead of being out in the working world....

While reading through Female Chauvinist Pigs I found it surprising that Joe Francis (founder of GGW) came up with such a thing. He gives out beads and t-shirts to women that flash his camera and pose sexual acts for him. Yes just beads and t-shirts, I can not believe women do this for such little in return. That is what the women get and Joe gets two private jets, a mansion, and a retreat. The average woman earns this for Joe. I can not believe the standards some have lowered themselves to. It does not take much for a guy to get a girl to do whatever it is he wants to see. Women have been influenced by porn stars posing in Playboy, magazines, T.V stars, and advertisements to look as sexy as possible. It is sad to see that people like Joe Francis are blind to see what they are doing. It makes no sense to me that women would lower themselves to this for men. After all what happened to the Women's movements and morals? I understand they are still there in a way, but we don't see that. All we see is sex advertised everywhere, and a great majority of the time it only involves women.
I don't have any personal experiences with Playboy or GGW , but I have had plenty of late-nighters and seen plenty of advertising for it. I also see friends and peers around me striving for the female model sex image. I see girls getting boob jobs, which I never thought I would personally come across someone I knew getting one. I see girls wearing less and less at younger ages and it is sickening. I always wonder and worry about having kids, because every child has the chance to fall into one of these traps. I just hope I can teach them good morals and help them goin the right direction.
